Nortel’s Missed Opportunity

Nortel Networks shares are no longer publicly traded.

Not sure what the news of Nortel does to you… sadness, regret, perhaps even anger.

Throughout the years I have worked with many good people who once worked at Nortel and like you, I know many others who lost a lot of money when things started falling apart a few years back.

As a Canadian, what I feel today as I read the articles and commentary around the web is regret.  Regret for the missed opportunities and the wasted potential.  I had nothing to do with it… but it is some sort of public regret.  Just how we all once took pride in the Nortel story, today I feel regret.  And a little sadness as well.

James Bagnall has a good semi-historical piece on Nortel’s Missed Opportunity.
